My favorite activity is the work with horses.I`m the owner of two ponies.The first is a Welshpony called Rocky and is 14 years old.I`ve got him since 11 years.The second is an Icelander called Chico and is eight years old.We`ve got horses since my childhood.Every day it makes a lot of fun to work with them.I use my ponies only for cross-country.In the summer holidays we ride sometimes away for three til four days with a group between five - ten persons.That`s very funny.We lease a meadow anywhere and then we try to find this place with maps.In the evenings we make a camp fire and barbeque and we sleep in our tents.Once a week I teach little children on their horses.When I train the horses for turneys, I do this in our indoor riding school.
At the moment I train two horses for jumping sport.We provide several courses, sometimes with water jump or self-made fences.
During this a friend of mine take care of my ponies.That`s a change for me.At the weekends I prepare one or two horses for a turney.To braid the hair is very hard.
Several things are not so exciting.For example to clean the stable or the meadows.
Unfortunately the holding of horses cost a lot of money.The cost of living every month for each horse are approximate 150 euro and that`s not at all.The veterinary will be paid and the farrier too.Over and about that is this sport not harmless.Sometimes we have bad accidents.Last year I felt off one`s horse.I had a bad concussion and two rib fractures.
The greatest experience was the birh of Rocky`s foal.I think after twenty years I have enough knowledge about horses.The greatest challenge for me is to travel next year for four weeks to Paraguay.A friend of my father live there with about eighty horses.Paraguay has a bad climate but I`m happy to visit and to work on such a big ranch.
