Textkorrektur wg. Zeit und Satzstellung

ich habe mich mit einem kleinen Text befasst.
Nun bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob ich mit der Zeit und Satzstellung richtig liege.

There is a bushire disaster in Spain. It is so terrible. A lot of animals died or injured.
I am here with my friends to camping in the open air till next Monday.
All the woods are standing in flames. You see the smoke a mile from here. We must break off the tents on the campsite because undergrowth and bushes are standing in flames.

'are dying or are injured'.

with my friends to camping in the open air

'with my friends camping'. This is present progressive tense. 'to camping' ist unsinnig und ungrammatisch (wie mein Deutsch!).

break off the tents

'take down the tents'.

Still, I understand your correction. "camping in the open air" is a noun phrase, hence a gerund is needed.
