The drama "Death of a Salesman" written by Arthur Miller is about a Salesman who is trying to live the American Dream.
The lines 90 till 98 deal with Willy who is on a visit to Charley`s office in order to ask for some money.
Willy goes to Charley`s office, there he meets Bernard who is by now a quiet, earnest but self-assured young man.
Unlike Biff, Bernard has made it and Willy secretly admires him.
Willy asks him why Biff gave himself up but Bernard wants to know the same.
He remembers the schooldays when Biff flunked math and went to Boston.
After that, Biff did not enroll in summer school and threw all his plans over board.
Bernard asks Willy why Biff threw his life away.
Willy reacts aggressive because he thinks Bernard wants to blame him.
Eventually, Bernard has to go to a station.
Now, Charley appears and says goodbye to Bernard.
Later Willy gets to know that Bernard is a lawyer who argues an important case.
Willy admires him and is aware of his own failure.
Just after Bernard has gone, Charley gives Willy money who asks for more.
So Charley offers him a job and Willy rejects because he is too proud to accept.
