Hallo den folgenden Text verstehe ich einfach nicht, Vokabel ein nach dem anderen zu übersetzen hat mir nicht gebracht den die ergeben für mich einfach kein Sinn. Der Text besteht aus 3 Teilen aber wenn ungefähr verstehe worüber der erste ist, kann ich die anderen herleiten.

Kann mir mal einer sagen worüber der Text ist, ?

The most immediate factor stalling the talks is the refusal of Jacques Chirac, always French agriculture´s friend, to stand up to a minority of politically powerful French farmers, a problem that is even less likelyto be resolved now that he is having to deal with riots on the streets. The trouble with trade talks is they rarely make headlines, except when there is a crisis. Many peaople find the subject tedious and complex. They should not. The issue is simple: it is immoral , and economic madness, to give (as the US does) huge subsidies to farmers to grow sugar beet in Europe rather than in more favourable climates; and for Europe to subsidise cows by over $2 a day—a larger sum than half the world´s human population lives on.


Würde sehr sehr sehr dankbar sein.

also der erste teil ist so wie ich das verstehe über die reichen Länder (Industriestaaten), die am meisten den Entwicklungsländern helfen würden, wenn sie die Subventionen für die Agrarwirtschaft zurückfahren würden. Das würde 380 Millionen einbringen, die (jährlich) für die Unterstützung des Westens verloren gehen, der diese für andere Zwecke verwendet.

Sorry für den Rest hab ich jetzt leider keine Zeit. : /
