Hello dear ones, I am currently translating my book (psychological guide) from German into English (UK). I'm doing it with Deepl and with my modest skills. It's a lot of fun as I can improve my English skills this way.

Now for my question:
Is the phrase "the hold of life" appropriate for the spiritual or psychological hold that a person finds, for example, in faith or within their family, or among their work colleagues.
I have received other suggestions from Deepl for "the hold of life" and would like to have the most appropriate expression.
