"Term" has many meanings

The meanings of the word "term" are so different and I want to know which ones are most important to learn.
Begriff
Bedingung
Dauer ( for example long-term relationship)
seem to be important.
 I often read "terms" instead of "conditions". So to learn "Bedigungen" for "terms" is important.
For "Begriff" -what is used more often: "term" or "definition"?
Did I miss out some of the important meanings for "term"?

Im Idealfall lernt man alle Bedeutungen eines Wortes, damit man das Wort je nach Zusammenhang richtig einordnen und anwenden kann. Daher kann dir niemand sagen welche wichtigsten Bedeutungen man lernen sollte.
