1. British children spend a lot of money on fireworks.
A lot of money is spent on fireworks by British children. OK

2. Guy Fawkes bought a lot of gunpowder.
A lot of gunpowder was bought by Guy Fawkes. OK

3. They caught Guy Fawkes in time.
Guy Fawkes was caught in time by them.

4. James I opened parliament on November 5th, 1605.
Parliament was opened on November 5th, 1605 by James I. OK

5. Someone always invites our neighbors to a private bonfire party.
Our neighbors are always invited  to a private bonfire party (by someone).

6. We didn't buy the wood for the bonfire last year.
The wood for the bonfire wasn't bought by us last year. OK

7. You see children with their "guys" in the city centre.
Children are seen with their "guys" in the city centre (by you). Hier würde ich es weglassen, aber immer mit "by" angehängt, nicht mit "of" oder form" o.ä.

8. Professionals organise public firework displays.
Public firework displays are organised by professionals.
Hi,
Prima!
