Hallo Forums Mitglieder Ich habe die Aufgabe einen kleinen Eassy über das Thema "When is it acceptable to tell a lie?" zu schreiben mit Bezug auf das Buch "The Crucible". Ich weiß das mein Englisch nicht das allerbeste ist und bitte euch trotzdem meinen Aufsatz durchzulesen und zu verbessern. Ich meine damit nicht das ich ihn vollständig korrigiert abschreiben will ich fände es auch super wenn ihr  mich auf Fehler hinweist und mir Tipps zum verbessern gebt:

When it is acceptable to tell a lie?
People lie over 200 times a day. Not all of this lies are bad. So the question is when its right to tell a lie and when you should better say the truth. Kant would say that a lie is never acceptable. Even if you are in danger you should speak the truth. In his opinion a lie not necessary damge a human but it always damage humanity. Also from a religious point of view it is never accepted to lie cause in the ten commandments the Bible told : "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Transferred to the book that mean the people in Salem should always say the truth, cause they are very religious. That not all villager do so you can see in John Proctor who commit adultery with Abigail. In the curse of the book always more people lie and tell that they see whichcraft and other people who are wiched. The most of them dont see anything supernatural. The reasons for the lies are hate,envy and jealous. My personal opinion is: If you lie and the lie you say damage someone you should say the truth. In case the saying the truth would have bad consequences to you you should situate what is worser your damage or the damage your lie will create. It is difficult to find one solution for the problem when you should lie and when not. The answer of the question is situation dependant.

Even if you are in danger you should speak the truth. In his opinion a lie does not necessarily damage a human, but it always damages humanity. Also from a religious point of view it is never acceptable to lie because in the ten commandments the Bible tells us: "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor". Translated to the book "The Crucible", this reference to the Bible for the people of Salems means, that they should always tell the truth, because they are very religious. During the course of the book more and more people start to tell lies, and accuse other people in the village of witchcraft. The truth is, that those villagers haven't seen anything supernatural at all. The reasons for the lies are hate, envy and jealousys. My personal opinion is that if you lie and the lie you say damages someone you then you should rather tell the truth. If the telling of the truth had bad consequences for yourself, then you should situate what is worse: the damage caused to yourself, or the damage which your lie might cause. It is difficult to find one solution for the question when telling a lie is acceptable and when it isn't. The answer of the question always depends on the situation.

I am still not convinced that John Procter cheated on his wife with Abigail.. but that's a different story altogether.
