"in respect of" anstatt "because" falsch???

Hallo,

folgender Text von mir:
"But he has sold them anyways in respect of profit and as a result 21 pilots have died."

Mein Lehrer hat jetzt das "in respect of" durchgestrichen und darüber "because" geschrieben.
Ist meine Formulierung nicht auch korrekt/bzw. ist das wirklich ein Fehler?!

"in respect of" ist in diesem Zusammenhang tatsaechlich nicht korrekt.

"in respect of" bedeutet jedoch "hinsichtlich" oder "bezueglich" und wird verwendet, wenn einen Bezug zu einer Sache, einem Ereignis, einem Thema etc herstellt.
Bsp: the two groups of friends were similar with respect to age, and hobbies. ODER: In respect of civil right, all people are equal before the law.

Den Ausdruck, dass du haettest verwenden muessen ist "because of".

Ok danke, ich war verwirrt weil ich etliche Beispiele im Netz gefunden hatte die dieses Wort so verwenden, z.B. hier:

Es ist gar nicht so schwer, wenn auch verstaendlicherweise verwirrend.

"in respect of" laesst sich in der Regel gleichsetzen mit "in reference to"; "in regard to"; "concerning".

Um bei deinem Beispielsatz zu bleiben:

But he has sold them anyways in reference to profit and as a result 21 pilots have died - Aber er hat sie im Bezug auf Gewinn dennoch verkauft, .... = nicht moeglich/sinnlos
But he has sold them anyways in regard to profit and as a result 21 pilots have died - Aber er hat sie hinsichtlich Gewinn dennoch verkauft, .... = nicht moeglich/sinnlos
But he has sold them anyways concerning profit and as a result 21 pilots have died - Aber er hat sie betreffend Gewinn dennoch verkauft, .... nicht moeglich/sinnlos

Du moechtest in deinem Satz erklaeren, dass er etwas verkauft hat, weil er Profit machen wollte. Du musst hier also ein erklaerendes Wort (wegen/weil/aufgrund von...) verwendet, kein Wort, das sich auf ein Thema bezieht:
But he has sold them anyways because of profit and as a result 21 pilots have died.




Bei deinem Satz: "Do you agree with the disclosure requirements in respect of profit forecasts set out in the disclosure" sieht es folgendermassen aus:
Do you agree with the disclosure requirements in reference to profit forecasts set out in the disclosure - moeglich/sinnvoll
Do you agree with the disclosure requirements in regards to profit forecasts set out in the disclosure - moeglich/sinnvoll
Do you agree with the disclosure requirements concerning profit forecasts set out in the disclosure - moeglich/sinnvoll

Bei deinem Satz: "ROLLOVER DEDUCTION IN RESPECT OF PROFIT ON SALE OF PROPERTY USED FOR RESIDENCE" sieht es folgendermassen aus:
ROLLOVER DEDUCTION in reference to PROFIT ON SALE OF PROPERTY USED FOR RESIDENCE - moeglich/sinnvoll
ROLLOVER DEDUCTION in regards to PROFIT ON SALE OF PROPERTY USED FOR RESIDENCE - moeglich/sinnvoll
ROLLOVER DEDUCTION concerning PROFIT ON SALE OF PROPERTY USED FOR RESIDENCE - moeglich/sinnvoll

Bei deinem dritten Satz, muesste ich den ganzen Satz sehen, da immer auf Kontext geachtet werden muss.
