The number of immigrants rises in the last years. But not the whole population is amused by their arrival. So the question arises whether immigrants are a valuable acquisition (Bereicherung) for the society.
First of all you can say that they are an advantage for the society because in their country they cant find a workplace but here they can fill up unpopular cheap jobs. For instance they often work in factorys or in the agriculture.
Another argument in favour of the immigration is that it has been proved when children grow up with children from another country they are getting more and more tolerant and they can better understand other cultures.
A striking example is that buisness mans or politican need a good contact wiith people from other countrys to make a good job.
On the other hand immigrants can be a problem for the society . They havent always the unpopular jobs. Sometimes they get a better job with that they pinch/steal? the workplaces of the natives which brings conflicts between them.
But the strongest argument against immigration is that a little part of them wouldnt integrate in the society because they arent in the country for learn the the culture or the language they are only there for take advantage of the economic system. As we can see from ghettos where are only living immigrants who arent interested in the society and only wants to get the money of the state.
To sume up I can say that normally immigrants has a positive influence for the society and they can learn a lot of each other. But each town hast to look for a mixed accomodation of normal inhabitants and immigrants.

because they can better understand other cultures and accept immigrants as part of a multi-cultural society.
A striking example is that business men or politicans need a good understanding of people from other countries to do a good job.

On the other hand immigrants can be a problem for society. They are not always able or willing to take on unpopular jobs.
Some are criminals who steal to supplement their financial situation as they are not always permitted to work.
The better educated ones are often competing with the natives on the job market.

But the strongest argument against immigration is that a part of them is only aiming to take advantage of the social network.
Those are not willing to integrate themselves in society, because they are not willing to learn the language of the natives
and adapt their own ways to the host culture which excludes them from being active in the economic system. This leads to ghettos
where many immigrants live who are not interested in society appart from the finiancial support they receive.

I conclude that immigrants can have a positive effect on society, and we can learn a lot from each other.
But each community has to provide opportunities for the immigrants to mix with the native population
especially in regards to accomodation.
