Hallo ,

habe eine Summary zu einem Zeitungsartikel des Guardian geschrieben um meine Schreibkünste zu verbessern.

Könnt ihr drüber schauen und gegebenfalls verbesserungsvorschläge geben.

The newspaper article “ How migrants risk death” , written on 7.September 1998 by Phil Gunson , is about the rising death rate of immigrants trying to enter the united states illegally due to a recent launched immigration policy called “ Operation Gatekeeper”.



Immigrant right groups demanding reconsideration of the immigration policy because of high death numbers of Mexicans trying to enter the United States illegally.



Plenty death Mexican bodies were found on several crossing borders in the United States.

This high death rate is alarming for immigration right groups.



Mostly responsible for the death rate is a recently new launched immigration policy called “Operation Goalkeeper”. It was invented in 1994 to prevent illegal immigrants crossing the border.



The new policy introduced steel fences and a high amount of border guards at the borders to discourage Mexicans of entering the United States.



There is indeed no significant prove that the new policy affected illegal migration yet.

At the other hand there is a significant higher death rate. Moreover the immigration policy is supporting organized crime in Mexico due to people who are willing to pay guides to smuggle them to smuggle them to the United States.
