I am a German Care Management student at the Lutheran University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg and I am writing to apply for a 20 weeks internship as a Health Service Manager within the xyz-hospital commencing in September 2014.


As you can see from my enclosed CV my course covers a number of modules very relevant to work within your organisation, for example Strategic Management or Human Resources Management.

In addition to my theoretical knowledge I can also exhibit working experience. During my time at the University Medical Center Salzburg in Austria and my current work for Rummelsberger services for people with disabilities I was able to be part of a multidisciplinary team and provide professional support and reassurance to a huge diversity of people. Furthermore my ability to calmly handle stressful situations with tact and patience was useful.

To gain not only practical but also international experience I have decided to do my internship abroad. This will allow me to improve my language skills and to learn more about foreign organisational culture.

I am sure that the skills and strengths that I have developed during my studies, combined with my working experience and my interest for management, will allow me to make a positive contribution to your organisation.
