Bewerbungschreiben Auslandspraktikum

Beitrag von r4id »

Hallo liebe Community,

Dear Sir or Madam

I am writing to inquire aboutpossible opportunities for a 6 month internship in your company.

Since October 2012 I have successfully been studyingelectrical engineering in the third semester at the Universität. In the fifth semester, starting in September 2014,I would like to take the chance to do an internship abroad in your company.

Before my study, I passed my exam in my apprenticeship at Firma as an electronics technician for devices and systems. Afterwards I worked for 6 months for this company as production worker. I complete circuit boards and devices for automotive and medical technology and analyze them visual and in function according to norm.

Doing the semester internship abroad I will improve my language and soft skills. I am interested in to learn more about research and development of evt Firmenprodukt. Enhancing knowledge and experience in electrical engineering through an internship at your company and getting an impression of Firmenname concern is very important for me.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully

Since October 2012 I have been studyingelectrical engineering at the XY University in Germany.
In my fifth semester,
starting in September 2014,I would like to take the chance to do an
internship abroad; i.e., in your company.

Before my studies, I successfully completed my apprenticeship at Firma to become a technician
for electronics with a focus on (...) devices and systems
. Afterwards I worked in the production facilities
of this company
for 6 months. My responsibilities focused on the completion of circuit boards used indevices of the automotive industry and in medical technology, In the end I also analysedthe circuit boardsand tested their function to ensure compliance with our requirements.
An internship would hopefully provide an opportunity to apply and enhance my knowledge and
technical skills,
while gaining further
experience in electrical engineering.Getting a chance to experience the professional culture
within your company is also very important for me
I would especially be interested in learning more about
your innovative research methods and the approach used in the development of evt Firmenprodukt.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,
(your name)

Ich empfehle, am Ende eines Satzes einen Punkt oder ein Komma zu setzen. :)
In diesem Fall einen Punkt, da der Satz sonst zu lang wird.

Getting a chance to experience the professional culture
within your company is also very important for me.

Ok danke für den Hinweis.

Ist es besser das Wort "placement" anstelle "internship" in England zu verwenden?

According to some online sources the Americans are more likely to call it an internship.
In Britain people also call it work experience. Soo they do some work experience to
gain further insight and contacts within the industry or sector of their choice.

To me work placement has the context of being something you do as part of your studies to get a degree
while an intership sounds more like something you do in addition or afterwards to get experience.

The graduate internship programme and their job titles at our university have been renamed to graduate associates
to add emphasis to the fact that they finished their studies before they started to work here.

Btw. an intern could be someone with a temporary paid job, for example, three months as a secretary in a business.
Work experience is not usually paid work.
