Hello,
today I've written a short letter of complaint, I hope it's fine. Could you spare some time to have a look at it?
Thank you!

Dear Sir or Madam
I am writing to you in connection with a red bolero jacket I purchased from your shop last week.
Despite the fact that I washed it separately and at hand temperature even though the label claimed it could be treated with 40°, it lost a considerable amount of colour at the first wash. But not only has its colour faded, there are also numerous dark-red stains spread all over the garment.
I have been a customer of your “Street One” shops for numerous years and have never had any objections up to now, so I trust the matter will be resolved quickly and you will replace the faulty item by a flawless one.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Re: letter of complaint
Jesus. Are there any websites to practise prepositions?
Many thanks for your correction!
Do you do that as a hobby?
Not putting a colon after the salutation should be OK though, I had checked it before in Practical English in Use by Swan. In Unit 146, it says "After 'Dear X', put a comma or nothing at all, not an exclamation mark (!)"

because I love the English language and like helping people when I can.

Commas, and other punctuation after the salutation is debatable. According to some rules you can use a full stop, a comma, a colon or semi-colon. Dull stop is most common.
