The White House is the official workplace and residence from the president of the United States
History:
George Washington chose the place of the White House. The foundation stone of the building was finished on the 13[sup]th[/sup] October 1792. On this day was also the foundation day of the new capital city: Washington.
On 1814 the British Army burned the White House in a war down.
On 1819 the same architect James Hoban led the rebuilding of the White House.
The White House today:
Today the White House has 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, 412 doors, 147 windows, 8 stairways, a swimming pool, a tennis place, a cinema and a bowling alley.
Secureness:
It's not allow to fly over the White House without a license. In trouble there are jets which shoot the plane with special rockets down.
There is also a shelter which defend the people in the White House in emergency situations.
On the roofs are agents who defend the president with snipers.
Of course in the White House are cameras and censors.
The Secret Service and the Park Police guard the estate.
