Mounting about ?

Hi everybody, I read an article about plastic pollution and marine litter and in the article
there was this sentence:

Reports are mounting about impact of microplastics on all marine life.

I looked up for the German meaning of the word mounting about but I did not find anything.
Could anybody help me to find the fitting German translation to this context.

Mounting (up) means that the reports are piling up in the sense of increasing.
