Ich muss eine Presentation in english über irgendein Thema machen, ich hab Microsoft und deren Betriebssysteme gewählt.
Es geht über die Entwicklung der Betriebssysteme, also mit welche es Angefangen hat etc. Das Referat soll ca. 3-5min. dauern und es geht einfach rein um die Übung in english zu referieren. Wäre nett wenn ihr mir sagen könntet ob mein Anfang und mein Ende so passen. Ich finde mein Ende ist nicht so gut, wie könnte ich das denn ungefähr machen?
Und ich weiß auch noch nicht wirklich was ich zu meiner Struktur-folie(siehe Ende) sagen könnte. Vielleicht weiß einer von euch in etwa was hier gut wäre .
Ihr könnt mich natürlich auch verbessern, wenns um das Sachliche geht etc.

I am going to talk about the history of Microsoft as an operating system.

Those are the operating systems Windows put on the market during the years.
It all started with MS-DOS and went all the way through to Windows 8. Many things changed since the beginning. At first there was a very simple design and it was all about getting stuff done. But later on the design improved a lot and the focus wasn’t anymore on coding or simply working.
I am going to talk about some of the operating systems of Microsoft now.
Let’s begin with MS-DOS.

MS-DOS is short for Microsoft Disk Operating System
In June 1980, Gates and Allen hire Gates’ former Harvard classmate Steve Ballmer to help run the company. The next month, IBM approaches
Microsoft
to work on an operating System. So Microsft focuses on developing an OS which is the foundation on which programs can run on hardware.
The next operating system I want to present you is called Windows 98.

It is released in 1998 and is the first version of
Windows
designed specifically for consumers. It is the last version based on MS-DOS. It comes with a lot of improvements such as an integrated browser called internet explorer. It also supports USB. Windows 95 did that too but it was very buggy and didn’t work really well.
Now we are going to look at Windows XP, it was released in 2001.

It is fast, more stable and more intuitive than the previous versions. It offers new software as the Network Setup wizard, the windows media player or the Windows Movie Maker. It was the first OS with 64 bit supports, but the 64 bit version of XP isn’t used very often. And there is also a Tablet version of XP.

Windows 7 was released in 2009 and bases on Windows Vista, which wasn’t a big success. The design of Windows 7 has changed a lot in comparison with Windows XP. It also uses less system resources like RAM than Vista. Windows 7 also has a live thumbnail preview which is very useful.

In contrast to Windows 7 the new operating system called Windows 8, which is released in the last quarter of 2012, is really different in design. It is a hybrid operating system, which can also be used for Phones and Tablets. Windows 8 features a Start screen with tiles that connect to files, apps, and websites. It can be operated via mouse and keyboard or via a touch interface.

Also zuerst erzähl ich was über die verschiedenen Betriebssystem, dann über MS-DOS(das 1te), 98, XP, 7 und 8. Ich weiß halt nicht großartig was ich hier genauer sagen soll zu dieser Folie, vielleicht etwa: My presentation is structured in... aber mir fällt irgendwie auch auf Deutsch nix gerade ein, wie ich da weiter schreiben könnte.
