Letter of recommendation for Mr. ***
As an outstanding bachelor graduate, dedicated student and head of the students union with great commitment at ***, I recommend ***, born on ****** in *** as a part of his application for a postgraduate programme in psychology at ***. *** filled me with enthusiasm because of his excellent academic performance and his outstanding personal qualifications.

I got to know Mr. *** in my position as associate Dean of the ***, one of the leading business schools in Germany according to numerous independent rankings. The hands-on management education at *** is international and practical oriented. Because of the small capacity and high number of applicants, we have to be highly selective. Already at the selection process Mr. *** stood out in a very positive manner. During his studies he distinguished himself in an exceptional good understanding of complex business matters and an extensive expertise in Marketing and Consumer Neuroscience. His very good examination results show his ambition to achieve self-set goals.

During the entire study, Mr. *** caught my attention by his exceptionally high social competences and his great extracurricular activities. As elected head of the student council for four semesters he connected the student body with the university management including president, dean and chancellor. While organizing and launching our international buddy programme for new incoming students, Mr. *** proofed intercultural sensitivity and awareness. Furthermore he arranged several voluntary projects including “*** Tafel e.V.” which provide homeless people and supply them with food.
Due to his open and friendly personality *** is not only popular with students -demonstrating excellent teamwork and communication skills - but also with employees of my chair.

I highly recommend *** for a Master's degree at the *** and I wish him all the best. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further questions concerning ***´s qualifications.

Yours sincerely

***
Associate Dean

:watch: Your text includes some very long sentences (e.g. first paragraph)
and a few expressions are repeatedly used.

Now that you've collected all the information you want to include
you'll have to work on the improvement of the English version.

Letter of Recommendation February 16, 2013

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of *** as part of his application for the Master of Science Conversion to Psychology programme at ***.

I got to know *** in my position as programme director “***” at the ***. *** attended my courses in Corporate Communication, Marketing, Media Management and Public Relations where he consistently demonstrated the highest level of academic output among his fellow students. Apart from providing excellent analytical and creative participation in class, he passed all exams with outstanding grades (1.0/1.3). His results in other courses, too, were excellent, and he almost performed in the top 5% of the classes he is in.

*** is very reliable, helpful and well-organised. Furthermore, due to his professional experience at *** and *** beside his studies, he gained quantitative skills in scope of financial issues as well as presentation skills. When *** was asked to lead a seminar as part of his assessment, he had a confident manner and clear speaking voice and was able to disseminate difficult concepts in a way that ensured audience members could grasp them. He accomplished all these tasks with great initiative, motivation and a very positive attitude.

In my opinion, *** has an array of strengths to offer. He demonstrated excellent organizational skills, has outstanding written as well as verbal communication skills, and is extremely organized, reliable and helpful. His ability to lead successfully was shown each time he volunteered to be team leader of a research group and he was able to solve any problems encountered quickly and effectively while listening to others. He is a friendly, bright and motivated individual who is always willing to learn and develop. Therefore, I have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him to your university as an extremely suitable student for postgraduate studies. I am sure he will provide to be a credit to both our institutions.

If you have any further questions with regard to his background or qualifications, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,

***
