Letter of motivation for University

Beitrag von Jan1985 »

I am going for a semester abroad in Indonesia and need a letter of motivation . But as everybody knows, nobody is perfect. So i woild be very pleased if you can read this text and give me some feedback.

Dear Sir or Madam
My name is **** I am 27 years old and I have been studying business economics at the **** for five semesters. I would like to apply for a course in the sixth semester at the Universitas Airlangga.
After my graduation I aim for a leadership position in the logistic departement of a global acting company. To fulfill this position at its best and to be prepared for the daily work in an international environment, I would like to complement my bachelors’ degree with a semester abroad in Asia.
Due to my experience, interests and education, I have a clear idea of what I would like to do in the future. I intend to work in a responsible position in a medium or large sized international company. In times of globalization it is very important to learn something about foreign countries, cultures and the people who live there. That is one of the reasons why I decided to broaden my horizon and go abroad for a semester.
Another reason is that I have learned a lot about financing and logistics during my studies and I would like to gain more detailed knowledge in this field. Where could be a better place for that than Asia which is the most growing logistic market in the world, and one of the most important places for global economies.
I would like to gain a deeper theoretical knowledge in this direction and I believe a university with a high reputation like the University Airlangga is the best place to achieve my career objectives significant.

Since I have never been on a different continent and my first time abroad has been in Europe, I would now like to look at a wider picture and dive into the fascinating world of Asia. The University Airlangga located in the heart of Indonesia in Surabaya, provides a great opportunity to discover the Asian culture, food and the emerging economy.
If I set a goal I will work as hard as I can to achieve it. Only with hard work one can make everything possible. In addition I am very communicative, sociable and creative. These are my strongest personal characteristics and I believe that in the field of logistics I can develop and use all of these characteristics for great success
