Hey Leute,
Dear Mr ABC
I am writing to inquire about possible opportunities for a placement in your company.
AfterI passed my high school graduation in June 2012, I would like to gain practical experience in the British labor market, which would certainly
help me very much in my further professional orientation.
This will not only help to improve prospects for my future professional career, but will allow me to learn more about your country and culture as well.
I have studied English for nine years, have a solid knowledge of the English language and in order to be prepared for a work placement I plan to visit a language school.
During a two-week internship at an engineering firm, I received a first insight into the working world and
therefore have an idea of the commitment and enthusiasm a trainee needs to have.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and hope that you will look favourably on my application.
Yours sincerely,

Re: Application as a trainee
You didn't mention the name of the (German?) engineering company,
nor your role and responsibilities there...
You'll need to highlight your specific transferable skills
which you've gained throughout your life.
a guide, with examples of application forms, CVs and cover letters
http://portal.solent.ac.uk/careers/job- ... ccess.aspx
You should also think about what skills you want to gain in each job / industry
and what you can do to prepare yourself in Germany.
Read, listen and think - use the local library and the Internet...
Good Luck.
