Hallo Leute,

ich bräuchte mal kurz eine Übersetzung für folgende Zeilen:


Märchen-Adaption. Untersuchung von Eignung und Defiziten des Volksmärchens fürdie filmische Adaption anhand exemplarischer Erzählungen der „Gattung Grimm“ und
dreier Adaptionen für das Medium Film.
Mein Versuch klingt bisher so:

Adaptation of fairy tales - Examination ofpotentialities and deficits the fairy tale providesforscreen adaptation by analysis of texts by the brothers Grimm and three exemplarycinematographic realisations.
Irgendwie kommt mir "realisations" komisch vor. Gibt es ein passenderes Wort für "Umsetzung"?
Oder entdeckt ihr sonst noch irgendwelche Fehler? Dass der Satz so lang ist, ist denke ich okay...
Wäre super, wenn kurz jemand einen Blick darauf werfen könnte, da der Titel am Ende so in
meinem Uni-Zeugnis stehen wird...

A potentiality is something potential. It's not the same as "Eignung" which I would translate as suitability or adequacy.

While deficit might be fine there might be a better word. However, we'd have to know what exactly you mean by "Defizit".

Thank you for the quick reply. I will replace "potentiality" by "suitability" then.
By "Defizit" I mean elements that fairy tales lack to constitute an ideal basis for adaptation...
What about "cinematographic realisation"? Is it possible to say it that way?

by analysing texts written by the brothers Grimm and three exemplary cinematographic realisations.

"cinematographic realisation" is probably ok.

A cinematographic realisation of a pre-existing non-film work is considered as a cinematographic work.
