Bewerbung in Englisch

I am writing in response to your advertisement in the Worldwatch Europe of the 10.4.2012.
As you can see from my enclosed CV, I have a master’s degree in journalism. That master’s degree also contains a few languages like French and German.
I also have worked about 3 years at the Standart where I’ve gained a lot of experience. After those 3 years I’ve got the boss of the VN where I had travel around the world very often. One of the big advantages of that was that I had the chance to gain a lot of experience with communicate with other peoples in other cultures and languages. So I’ve learned speaking English, German, French and Spanish fluently.
All these points are reasons why I am sure that I am the right one for this job.

I am writing in response to your advertisement in the Worldwatch Europe from 10.4.2012.
As you can see from my enclosed CV, I have a Master degree in journalism. That Masters degree also covers a few languages like French and German. (I'd mention ALL your languages in the cover letter if the skills relate to the job offer) . I also have worked at the Standart for about 3 years where I have (no colloquial abbreviations in official letters!) gained lots of experience (doing what?). After those 3 years I became head of the VN - a position that required travels all over the world. One of the many advantages of this position was that I had the chance to gain a lot of experience in communicating with other peoples in other cultures and languages. So I have learned to speak English, German, French and Spanish fluently. (mention you language skills in this paragraph or further up, I would not mention them twice).
All these points are reasons why I am sure that I am the right one for this job. (I think you should rephrase this sentence. While this is a homework, you should try to sell yourself. Focus on the key requirements listed in the job description, base your skills on them and then point out WHY you are the best. For example: the job descriptions says "ability to communicate" .. pick this point up and write "during my travels I had the chance to gather cultural and experience, and my gathered language skills in English, German, French and Spanish, as well as my ability to communicate on all levels, makes me the ideal candidate...)
