Beitrag von Flo123 »

Nabend zusammen,

Dante is seventeen, lives with his father and his younger brother

Adam in England and is in itself a perfectly normal teenager.
And then

He finally arrived: the day the results of the graduation exam, the day of

should contact him for everything for the better.
But when it finally rings the door is not

the mailman before, but Dante's ex-girlfriend Melanie, who he had not seen for two years

has.
He learns that she has one child - Emma, and that he should be the father of this child.

Dante breaks a world together, he feels anything but ready to be a father.
Under

the pretext of wanting to just buy something quickly disappears, and leaves Emma to Melanie

Dante back.
And she does not intend to return again ...

But Dante was a blessing in disguise: After the initial shock offers his help and his father

Assistance and Adam is directly inspired by the little Emma.
Dante, however, is

not ready to make his dream of the university and a better future away from home

have to give up.
What will become of him and Emma?
Melanie will come back?

The story is alternately through the eyes of Dante and Adam told - the majority does-

However, Dante, the real protagonist.
The beginning is a very normal guy

waiting on his final grades and has pretty much everyday worries and problems, like any other

also.
The reader is also in accordance with it so easy to identify with the character.

And then Melanie is coming and it is of course exactly the way it has to come: from

one moment to the other is not an ordinary boy Dante anymore, but the single

Father of an eleven-month-old girl.
It is impossible to imagine the feelings,

The collapse in such a moment on someone if you have never experienced it myself.

Blackman, however, manages to grasp the situation in Dante's words and feelings into comprehensible

the reader to get at least close to how great must be the shock and fear.
This is

continued in the initial difficulties, the Dante of course, one for everyone

all too understandable situation.
But this is also what Dante a blessing

has: Unlike Melanie, who received no support from their families, by their

Mother was even thrown out, takes his brother Adam at the little Emma immediately

and his father, who is first, of course, shocked, disappointed and pissed off than the next

Shopping for baby products and worried masses.

danke ech :freu:

Hi Flo123 und willkommen im Forum! :)

MFG

Danteis a perfectly normal teenager of seventeen andlives with his father and his younger brother Adam in England.

Under the pretext of
justwanting togo out andbuy something,Melaniequickly disappears -not intending to return again -and leaves Emmawith Dante. After the initial shock, this new and unexpected situation turns out to beablessing in disguisefor Dante, because his father offers help and assistance and Adamimmediately dotes onlittle Emma.

Dante
is, however, not willingto give uphis dreams of the university and a better future away from home.

What will become of him and Emma?

Will Melanie come back?

The story
is toldalternately through the eyes of Dante and Adam.Dante - the real protagonist- is,however, the main narrator.

At the beginning, he is just a normal young man, waiting for his final grades and has nothing but everyday worries and problems to cope with, like any other man his age.

Dante's situation resembles that of many readers and so it is easy to identify with the character.

But then Melanie turns up and the inevitable happens: at a moment's notice, Dante is not an ordinary boy anymore, but the single father of an eleven-month-old girl.If you have not experienced something like this yourselves, it seems almost impossible to imagine his feeling of disappointment to see his plans collapse.

Blackman, however, manages to grasp the situation in Dante's words and feelings
and make the reader get an idea of how great must be his shock and fear.

All the way through the initial difficulties of the new situation, Blackman succeeds in making the reader believe and understand Dante's problems and doubts.

And Dante adapts to his new role.

But this is also because
he is lucky: unlike Melanie, whowas thrown outby her mother for being pregnant, he has the support of his family. His brother Adamtakes to the little Emma immediately and his father, having overcome his moments of shock, disappointment and being pissed off, goes off shopping gear for the baby and worries about her welfare.

Na, hoffentlich guckst Du jetzt wenigstens noch mal hier vorbei...
