ich darf ein Summary über "diesen Text" (Klick) schreiben und würde es super finden, wenn ihr mal über meinen Versuch rüber gucken könnt...
Tatatadaaa... hier kommt er:IIn the following I want to summarize the article “Teens sound off in digital library”, written by Greg Toppo, released in the newspaper “USA Today” at 10th September 2011.
The article emphasized an odd experiment, one that could determine what your library looks like in 10 years.
For this experiment you need a room with latest digital media, such as laptop computers, video cameras, gaming consoler or other and especially teenagers, and now look what is happening.
In Washington is this kind of experimenthasbeen publicized – “YOUmedia – a Digital Library Space for Teens”, it is a magnet for young people, so popular and influential that the library plans to replicate it citywide.
The project is funded in part by the Chicago-based John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and it aims to show howdigital media can affect teenagers.
The team from “YOUmedia” founded out that most kids shift between three stages of consumption and creation.
The first "hanging out” – here you can found out that teenagers send a lot of text messages und communicate on social network sites – you administer your friendships.
The second phase „messing around“ begins when teenagers take an interest in media itself, they compose music, edit photos or shoot video and the problem is that they neglect their real friends.
The last phase “geeking out” involves using new media intense, autonomous and interest-driven way" that often leaves friends in the dust as teens seek out experts for help.
In the digital library is very noisy, on the right you can see two girls who are tweeting something, on the left you can see a boy group who are play on gaming consoler. You can’t see books or collegians.
Theexperiment shows how quickly one third in the phase may fall.
