Before the first Container will be loaded, prepare the base locks according to the loading plan.
Make sure that all base locks are in an open position.
Every container on the hatch cover has to stay on four base locks.
After the first tier has been loaded, move the levers of all four base locks into closed position.
Every following container for all following tiers has to be fitted with four automatic twistlocks by the stevedores ashore.
Automatic twistlocks dont close well sometimes, so you have to check all tiers for open ones.
All lashing rods have to be positioned in a cross-wise manner connecting the lower left with upper right corner casting and vice versa.
After inserting the lashing rods into the corner castings of the second tier and into the lashing eyes of the hatch cover, all turnbuckles have to be tightened by beeing turned clockwise.
Bridge locks are placed on top of the highest tier to connect adjacent rows to each other.
Sea-side lashings rods are lashing rods with extensions with that you can secure the 4th tier.
After Cargo Operation make sure that all lashings are tighened and all base locks are closed.
