Dear Sir or Madam,
I read your advertisement for a biostatistician posted on your homepage with great interest and would like to apply for this job.
Whilst working for the Institute of XX, I was involved in the organisation and analysis of clinical trials according the ICH guidelines and get first experiences in working as a biostatistician.
I am an experienced user of the statistic software R, SAS and WinBUGS and during my Bachelor thesis, in cooperation with the XX, I get used to work in a team with non-statisticians.
Currently I am writing my master thesis at XX about “XX”. It is embedded in an international project, so I mainly work with English literature. I have realized that it is very exiting to work in pharmaceutical industry and I am particularly interested to run for XX. I will probably finish my studies XX in April 2012.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss further details of the position with you personally.
Yours sincerely,

Handelt es sich bei den beiden X um einen Eigennamen, dann ja, falls nicht, dann nein), I got used to work in a team with non-statisticians.
