"another" oder "an other"

Hallo,

wie müsste es korrekt lauten: "We are migrating from one solution provider to an other" finde ich korrekt, ernte aber an anderer Stelle Kritik, da man der Meinung sei, es sollte "another" heißen.

Ich hatte das so gelernt:

John and Paul are buying the same thing.
John's turns out to be faulty, but Paul's is so good, he decides to buy one for his sister.
John goes back to the shop and says "This thing is faulty, I would like to get an other one."
Paul goes back to the shop and says "This thing is great, I want to buy another one."

"another" = noch eines
"an other" = ein anderes

Oder ginge am Ende beides ?

Another wird immer zusammen geschrieben.

Also beispielsweise auch "I need another word for 'try'." oder "This is another solution." (in the sense of "This is a totally different solution.") ?

Dann wäre Cat Steven's Album "An Other Cup" falsch geschrieben ? (gerade bei der Suche nach Beispielen gefunden)

Ja wirklich immer, denn es handelt sich um ein Wort dessen Bedeutungsspektrum von "ein Zusätzliches" bis "ein Anderes" reicht.

Der Titel "An Other Cup" ist mit voller Absicht nicht ganz korrekt.
