Hello Harry,

I haven’t heard for a long time from you. How are you? Do you have news for me? I want to invite

you to Austria for a week on Holiday. I think Austria is a very beautiful Country, due to the beautiful 

mountain landscape. In summer we can go swim. The weather temperature is about 30°C. That’s 

very good beach weather. Austria has no beaches, but nice open air-pools with one, three, five and 

ten metre towers for jump in the water. Cycling is also a beautiful kind of sport, because while you 

ride your bike you can see how beautiful Austria really is. We can go hike. Here you can also see the 

nice landscape of Austria. When you want to come in January or February we can do the favourite 

winter sport of Austria. It’s skiing. In Austria are many places to skiing. The snow is nice to drive. 

Don’t forget the Prater in Vienna. It’s a sight to see. From the Ferris wheel you have a different View 

from Vienna. We can drive go-kart and makes a race against each other. The roller coast is also not 

bad. It makes fun, when you drive down with a nice speed. It’s a good feeling. I hope I have you 

inspired to come to Austria. Write me back please!

At day and night it can be very loud, because the traffic in the big cities likes Graz, Vienna, Linz, etc.

make much noise. Smoking is banned in many public places. The food in Austria is very good, but in many
restaurants is the food very expensive. The national dish is “Schweinsbraten”. When you work in a factory or a
firm, you should be kind to your colleagues. For an Austrian are Holidays very important. Austria is general a
clean country. Everybody resort their rubbish. The drinking water is very clean. The most popular sport in
Austria is skiing. I think Austrians are the best skier. Skiing is so popular, because the beautiful landscape and
the big mountains. Forms of address: Whether you use the name before the surname or the surname before
the name is indifferent, I think so. But you should ever say for example Mr Müller or Ms Müller. I think that is
all you must know before you come to Austria and make for example a work placement or holidays.
