Dear “Host family”,

My name is *******, I am at the moment 17 years old and my dream is to live for 6 month in Ireland.
I live with my family in Germany, in a small village named ****** near ******. It’s in the west side of Germany. Belong to my family: My mom *********(52), my dad ********(53) and my sister ********(21). My mom is a housewife and managed our family life and my dad works as an machinist. My sister has finished her education and now works as an office clerk.
My mother worked for years in the profession, too.

I am attending the 12th class of a Higher Commercial School with a focus on business and management. In May / June 2012, I will leave it with the technical college entrance qualification.
I really like to work from July 2012 as an Au Pair in Ireland, because I love children. Children have a big heart and is still before them throughout life. I want to laugh, play and have fun with them. They make me happy.
When I am back in Germany, I would like to study social pedagogy or health education.

Why I chose Ireland? In my opinion it‘s a very beautiful country with a fantastic landscape and nice cities. I‘m sure, that the 6 month will change my life. Ireland is a new country with a other language and new people. But it‘s my decision. It‘s my dream since I can remember, to live for a time in an other country and now it‘s the right time to go abroad.
I love my family and I hope I find in Ireland a nice family with lovely Kids. To me it is very important that I am in the family feel comfortable and I am really welcome.

I did an internship in a nursery. The kids were between three and six years. I liked it, because the kids were so cute. Most of the time, we were outside and played there. The kids like to play outside and we had a lot of fun together. Moreover we drawn pictures and tinkered lanterns for St. Martin, sang children‘s songs and played games. All this showed me, that the work as an Au Pair is made for me. I have much patience with children and I am like dealing interesting with them.

In addition, I regularly look after a seven-year-old girl named ******. I help her with mathematics exercises, play with her, read to her and put her to bed. I like to spend time with ******, she is very bright, cheerful and intelligent. I immediately closed she in my heart.

My leisure activities include dancing, reading books and jogging. I danced for four years in a dance school. Moreover I meet my friends and like to go shopping. In addition, I love to write stories and articles. Some articles are published on the Internet. A big dream of mine is that my books will eventually be published.

I am look forward to the time in Ireland. I am sure, that it will be the time of my life - the best time.
I hope I'll find a good family.
