Ich muss ein paar Fragen zu A Day's Wait von Ernest Hemingway beantworten.
Describe the way in which the two main characters (father and son) are presented to the reader.
The sick boy comes into his father's bedroom. He shuts the windows because he is ill and the man is still in bed. We find out that the sick child is the son of the man, who tells the story. The father wants that the boy go to bed again, but later he is sitting by the fire. The father stays by his son. He gives him him the medicine. He reads to his son from a book and notices that he doesn't follow the story. While the boy is sleeping the father goes out to hunting for a while.He wants to shoot birds, but a few birds can escape. If he comes back from hunting his son is still in the bed.The relationship between father and son isn't so good, because the father doesn't understand why the boy is afraid. The boy thoughts that he must die. there is an invisible wall between father and son. They talk about two different things and they don't know that they misunderstand each other.
Ich hoffe, ich habe nichts vergessen. Verstehe einiges im Text nicht,deswegen hoffe ich, dass ich die erste Aufgabe richtig beantwortet habe. Falls nicht, bitte ich um Zusatzinfos. Diese Geschichte ist etwas schwer zu verstehen.
