Liebe Englisch-Freaks,
ich soll demnächst eine englischsprachige Präsentation zum Thema "Indefinite Pronouns" (unbestimmte Pronomen) geben und habe mich schon mal etwas schlau gemacht:
Z.B. Singular (Einzahl):
Little = "Little is known about this period of history" (Über diese Periode der Geschichte ist wenig bekannt)
Less = "Less is known about this period of history" (Über diese Periode der Geschichte ist weniger bekannt)
Wie ist es aber, wenn zwei gleich klingende Wörter eine jeweils andere Bedeutung haben (also "Commonly Confused Words")?
Z.B. hear und here? Oder wenn man sich nicht sicher ist, ob die Aussprache bei zwei verschiedenen Wörtern gleich ist oder nicht? Hat das auch was mit "Indefinite Pronouns" zu tun? Oder wäre das ein anderes Thema? Wenn ja, welches?

An indefinite pronoun is a pronoun that refers to one or more unspecified beings, objects, or places.
Although many indefinite pronouns can function as other parts of speech too, depending on context,
commonly confused words and false friends are both something entirely different.
When these words are used as other parts of speech they are not functioning as indefinite pronouns.
