Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich bräuchte mal kurz eure Hilfe. Ich bin Informatik-Student und möchte mich für ein Auslandspraktikum auf Bali bewerben.

Habe auch schon eine Bewerbung verfasst, und mein Englisch-Professor war so nett und hat mir bei der Korrektur geholfen. Allerdings war die Bewerbung zu dem Zeitpunkt noch nicht fertig.

I am student of computer science at the Kiel University of Applied Sciences. My studies give me the opportunity to do an internship in a foreign country next year. Because I have already been in Indonesia twice and like the country and its people, I have decided to do my internship in Indonesia. Your company has sparked my interest, because I would like to do my internship in the field of web development and design. In a young and innovative company such as yours, I believe I could learn a lot about the latest web technology and how to use it in large projects.

Computing is not only the subject of my studies, it is also my hobby. Therefore, I am always interested in learning more and keeping up to date. I have also programmed an RSS reader for Windows and in doing so I learned a lot about object-oriented programming and database design. In the meantime, my program has been published in some German magazines and a company has asked me to create a special version with their own corporate design. I am also always interested in improving my skills in other areas, such as quality management and law.

So you can be sure that I will be highly motivated and work hard, if you give me the chance to do my internship in your company.

Bitte guckt euch insbesondere den ersten Absatz an. Die Sätze über die Firma sind neu und ich habe leider keine Ahnung, ob man das im Englischen auch so sagen kann.

You should have learned about the technology in your lectures.
So you want to gain work experience by applying your knowledge in (larger) projects.

Your knowledge about certain legal issues is not a skill - unless you've gained real experience by working in a legal profession...

but it seems to be a rather common expression.
