"I completely forgot the farewell party of ...! I hope they enjoyed it, but there were surely some tears wept. Ms L. wanted to record my class’s performance that they did for the .... I hope I can see it in August.
I can hardly believe that my second week in L. is turning to its end. It is incredible how time flies! On Saturday in the morning I went to the market with my host parents. I was there last week and I really enjoyed it. Only groceries that were grown up in L. could be sold on this market. During the shopping it comes easily to a nice talk to farmer. No one feel any urge to buy, but I was so excited that my host mother had to stop me to buy more fruit. Afterwards I went to S. I wanted to buy a book. I have just finished J. D. Salinger’s novel “The catcher in the rye” and as I have already heard some positive comments about the novel “Of mice and men” written by John Steinbeck, I wanted to read it. Unfortunately I didn’t find it, but I bought a book written by Nick Hornby. It calls “High fidelity”.
Since Tuesday I have been working in two different departments. In the morning I work for in the ... department and in the afternoon in the ... department. I have never thought I would work with machines. I was always bad at mathematics and other science subjects. I don’t know whether I would apply for the job in this branch. However I am very glad to gain this working experience. It broadens my mind and I am very glad about it.
You are right; L. has a lot to offer. I have already been to R. My host family brought me there. There were 9 of us and my host father’s brother with his grandchildren. We went to the Museum of Natural History where I learned a lot about L. Then we strolled through the medieval R. It was a lovely day!
Tonight we are going for a walk along the coast, but I don’t know yet where exactly."
