Liebe Englisch-Freaks,

ich soll morgen meiner gesamten Klasse den Berliner Getränkehersteller Spreequell präsentieren. Nun habe ich dazu folgenden Text entworfen:


First, I introduce myself briefly.
My name is Ricardo, I'm 32 years old and today I want to tell something about the Berlin company Spreequell.

The company is a manufacturer of soft drinks and has its headquarters in Berlin.

Spreequell was founded in 1969 in Eastern of Berlin. The name is derived from the river Spree.

The factory produced the most popular mineral water brand in Berlin.
In GDR times Spreequell

produced mineral water, Cola, orange soda, strawberry lemonade and woodruff lemonade.

After the German reunification the factory got a new name: "Spreequell Mineralbrunnen GmbH“.
At the same time the company expanded its product range.

And now we see a selection of current products. Spreequell produces carbonated soft drinks.
These are, for example: orange drinks, apple juice, lemonade, Club Cola and many other soft drinks.

And now I would like to introduce the “Ampelmännchen”-Products. The name of these beverages is derived from the “Ampelmännchen”, in English
Little Green Man. It was the symbol of the pedestrian traffic lights of the former GDR.

The drink is available in the following product types: Apple-Pomegranate and Apple-Kiwi.

Commercially it is available in 0.75-liter bottles.
And now I present more examples of products:

There is, for example, the Berliner Fassbrause with malt extract,

Further, a citrus-flavored soda,

Other examples are Tropical Aktiv with the flavors orange and mango
Apfelschorle, a apple-flavored beverage, and many other products.

And now I would like to introduce the Club-Cola, the most popular non-alcoholic beverage since GDR times.

The recipe was patented in 1967.
Even today, Club Cola is the best-selling beverage of the company "Spreequell".

Before the end of my presentation I would like totell you about the future of Spreequell.

In 2012, the company wants to build two more plants. One of them is currently being built in Spremberg. There are 140 employees produce another type of beer: The Spremberger Pils.

The second plant will be built in 2012 in Cottbus. There will in future also a type of beer produced, but a fitting name for the variety has been found yet.
