Hallo, :D

I would like to discuss the White House controversy about the invitation of the rapper "Common" to a poetry event in the White House. At first, I want to explain why many conservatives and Police Union officials criticized the President's chois.
Common is a African-American hip-hop artist, actor and author from Chicago. His lyrics "A song for Assata" is about Assata Shakur, who was convicted in 1977 of the first degree murder of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster. Assata is an African American civil and human rights activist, ho was involved in a shootout on the New Jersey State Trooper in 1973. For this reason she get prisoned. The track "Asong for Assata" from Common claim that Shakur was wrongly convicted. Shakur was also a member of the Black Liberation Army, which was an underground, black nationalist-Marxist militant organization that operated in hte US from 1970 to 1981. It's goal was it to "take up arms for the liberation and self-determination of black people in theUnited States".
In my opinion is the President's chois to invite Common to the poetry event absolutely right. Moreover, I can understand commons opinion that Assata Shakur was wrongly convicted. At the beginning of my argumentation, I have to say that violence is never a good solution and does not changes anything. Therefore it is completely wrong to shoot a policemen. Furthermore, represent the police the United States of America. If you hurt them, you also break the constitution of the USA.
On the other hand, Assata only want to fight for equal opportunities, equality and tolerance instead of racisim, discrimination and racial tension. Black Americans are only legal equality, but they even deserve the same treatment and social acceptance. However, I must saythat thisaspect can not be generalized, in fact that, not every African American get discriminated of his colour or origin.
Anouther point is that Common support with his song this act of violence. Personal injury or murder are serious crimes and can not be legitimized, because the person deserves it.
Opposite, everyone has freedom of expression. It is Common's right to speak up his opinion.
However, he is a bad role model by promozing violence. We have to protect our children against bad influence. They should not grow up with wrong views of judgments, because they are our future.
On the other, Common has the right to question a judge.
To sum up my main points briefly, I want to say that violence is never a solution. Moreover it is wrong to fight for the right reason with false agents. You have to imagine, supporting acts of violence you beeing a bad role model for children. This is why you should leave it. but on the other hand, everyone has freedom speech and can fight for civil and human rights for instance on demonstrations. I would like to conclude by sayind that, J get enough arguments, which support Obama's decision. In my opinion, it is important to discuss this topic. Today we are exposed to a multi-media influence. In conclusion, I would like to say that Barack and Michelle Obama mybe want to show this aspect by inviting Common.
