Ich wäre sehr froh für eine kurze Korrektur meines Textes für einen Vortrag.
I want to make my discussion lesson about a very current topic. Namely to the debate about nuclear energy and alternative energies.
Since the earthquake in Fukushima and the incident at the atomic power plant we can find many of articles and reports about the nuclear phase out and renewable energies in the media.
I think you have already your opinion about this topic whether your are for or against atomic power plants.
But now I want to give you some facts and informations about the energy in Switzerland.
This is a graphic about the generation of electricity in Switzerland. The graphic is of the year 2009 but until now their aren`t great changes.
You see that forty percent of the electricity comes from atomic plant stations. This electricity becoming produce in the atomic plants stations of Mühleberg, Gösgen, Leibstadt and Beznau one and two.
Amazing is that the part of new renewable energies is only 2 percent. When we look more precise then we see thar the part of wind and solar power is only 1 percent. And this are the two sources which are the most discussed at the moment. On the other hand that connoted that we have an enormous potential in this energy sources.
But to have an enormous potential reach not. It is also important that the way of produce energy is comporative in our country. Because in the desert nobody build a hydroelectric plant.
Do we have enough sun in Switzerland? Do we have enough wind in Switzerland?
Especial by the question on wind there are much different meaning, and lots of people says that we haven`t enough wind. Later, in the discussion part I want to know your opinion about this.
All the meanings for a rapid exit of atomic energy power sounds good at the first moment but it is also important that the current supply is sure without the energy from the atomic power plants.

My discussion lesson deals with averycurrent topic: the ongoing debate about nuclear energy and alternative energy sources.
Since the earthquake in Japan and the resulting incident at the atomic power plant in Fukushima there have been manyofarticles and reports about the nuclear phase-out and renewable energies in the media.
I suppose, all of you have already formed your opinion about this topic and have decided whether your are for or against atomic power plants.
But now I want to give you some facts and informationsabout the energy in Switzerland.
This is a graphic account about the energy generation/power production in Switzerland. It dates back to 2009, but there have not been any significant changes until now.
You see that forty percent of the electricity comes from the atomic plantsstationsMühleberg, Gösgen, Leibstadt and Beznau I and II.
It is quite amazing that the ratio ofnewrenewable energy sources only amounts to 2 percent. Taking a closer look we discover that wind and solar power together account for only 1 percent. And these are the two sources mostly discussed at the moment. It obviously means that we have an enormous potential for using these energy sources in Switzerland, yet.
But the fact that we have this theoretical potential is not sufficient. It is also important that this way of producing energy is suitable for the natural conditions of our country. Nobody would build a hydroelectric plant in a desert, would they?
Do we have enough sun in Switzerland? Do we have enough wind in Switzerland?
Especially regarding the question of wind there are many different opinions. A lot of people claim that the averaging amount of wind is not sufficient. I would very much like to learn about your opinion about this point in the forthcoming discussion.
All the arguments in favour of a rapid withdrawal from the nuclear energy programme soundsconvincing enough at first, but it is also important to make sure that the current supply is guaranteed without the energy fromtheatomic power plants.
Viel Glück wünscht
