Now I will tell you something about New York and their crime rate.
Today, NY is one of the most secure country´s in the USA. This is a result of the Law-and-Order politics from mayor Robert Giulani. During Giuliani´s administration, crime rates continued to drop in New York city.
Because of the efficient police activity, the picture from NY changed from a scruffy city, to a lovely resort. Since 1994 the crime rate drops.
Before, drugs, prostitution, assault and gang delinquency were the biggest problems.
Today the city is a big tourist magnet. Every year 9 million tourists from foreign countrys visit New York.

Ich nehme an, dass du vom Staat New York redest und nicht von der Stadt New York City? Ich frage lieber noch mal nach, denn du erwaehnst beides.

Ah, mit indirekten Andeutungen habe ich immer Probleme. Dann ziehe ich meine Bemerkung zurück.
